First Series of Safe Colleges Information Security Tutorials announcement from Human Resources and Information Systems

As part of our GOLD Learning Academy offerings, the Offices of Human Resources and Information Services are excited to introduce you to our first series of information security and campus compliance tutorials to broaden your understanding of best practices for protecting data and digital privacy. The brief tutorials take 15 minutes or less. Each will include an introduction, the tutorial, and a short "quiz" to help you focus on the most important points of the tutorial.

Maintaining effective Information Security is imperative for all of us at DePauw because of the great amount of information the University handles about our students, employees, and alumni and our collective obligation to protect the privacy of that information. While the training will be available until May 4th, we would encourage you to complete the training prior to May 4, 2019.

To complete the tutorials:
1. Login to SafeColleges at: https://depauw-in.safecolleges.com/login using your DePauw Account credentials (e-Services username and password)


2. Complete the following Tutorials:

• Cybersecurity Overview 
• FERPA: Confidentiality of Records 
• Password Security Basics 

3. You will receive emails from SafeColleges that looks like this: DePauw University <administrator+70126BEE-A4A3-11E8-ABBC-65C7F60CE5F7@safecolleges.com>. These emails are not spam.
