Preserve your email and other data from your DePauw IT Accounts now. #AnnounceIT

As you are going through your graduation to-do list, schedule time to preserve your email and other data from your DePauw IT accounts. In the following, you will learn the timeline for when your primary DePauw IT accounts will no longer be available to you, resources you can use to preserve email and other data, and information on services available to DePauw alumni.

DePauw IT Accounts access will retire on October 31, 2017
(Note: If you will be returning to DePauw in the Fall of 2017, please let us know at so we can keep your accounts active.)

Be sure you save any documents you wish to keep from your class (I:) drive, personal (P:) drive, and Web (W:) drive before the end of October.

To request a transcript after October 31, browse to the transcript ordering portal on the Registrar’s Transcripts website.

Google Apps (email, calendar, drive, etc.)
Download a copy of the Google Apps data you want to keep, including your email, calendar, and more, by going into My AccountControl your contentCopy or move your contentCreate archive found in the Download your data section. Once started, archives may take a few minutes, several hours, or days to create depending on how much data you have selected to download. Be sure to start this process before the middle of October so there is plenty of time for your archive to be completed. Watch the Download your Google Data [How to] video on YouTube to learn more.
Also, you will want to update your email contact information for personal accounts that you access through the Web. Retrieving a lost password or confirming your identity is often tied to an email address. Be sure to change any accounts that use your address to a personal one, so you are not locked out of your bank account, credit cards, or other online accounts.

IT Recommendation Checklist and Resources
You can also find a helpful IT recommendation checklist that includes additional resources at Graduating Senior Accounts. These tips will guide you through setting up a personal email account, updating online account information (e.g., checking account, credit card, cell phone password recovery, etc.) so that you do not lose access to them after your DePauw IT accounts are retired, how you can let others know your new contact information, and more.
