Another spam notification. In case you do not have the routine down, this email is for you. #AnnounceIT

Unfortunately, there is another spam hitting campus. This one has the subject of "Review Soft Copy", but the recommendations that follow pertain to any email you receive that you have a question about.

We recommend you are cautious with any email you receive that seems suspicious by following the suggestions at Protecting your computer from malware.

If you have received a suspicious email, select the email in your mailbox, then click Report spam to remove it from your account and to report it to Google.

If you have replied to a suspicious email or opened an attachment, we recommend you change your Google Apps Account password immediately. Please go to the Change password: Google Apps Account (email) article on the IT KnowledgeBase for step-by-step instructions.

We also recommend you run a virus scan as a further precaution if you have received a suspicious email. Please go to the Healthy Computing article on IT KnowledgeBase to learn how you can download and run Symantec Endpoint Protection on your computer.

Browse to the IT KnowledgeBase Spam article to learn more about DePauw's guidelines for official communications.
