Newly released version of DyKnow (Version 5.4.19) now works correctly with Chinese versions of Windows

From Dave Berque, Professor of Computer Science:

Hi DyKnow instructors and a few others,

Some of our Chinese students have pointed out that DyKnow does not work correctly when run on a Chinese version of the Windows Operating System.  The typical complaint is that text is "cut off" on the right side of the screen.

Previously, DyKnow did not support non-English localizations of Windows.  However, they now have some customers in Chinese-speaking countries so fixing this issue became a higher priority.

I am writing to let you know that the newest version of DyKnow (Version 5.4.19, released last week) works correctly with Chinese versions of Windows.  I will put an announcement in the DyKnow message of the day to alert students to this, but wanted to let you know as well.

There is no need for anyone to upgrade to the newest version of DyKnow unless the user is running a Chinese version of Windows and wants to resolve this issue.

Find information about how to upgrade DyKnow at  http://www.depauw.edu/it/helpdesk/dyknow.
