DePauw HelpDesk Recommendation - for current influx of SPAM

We have seen a marked increase in the amount of spam on campus recently, some of which we suspect is coming from an on-campus virus infected computer.  If your computer is running unusually slow or exhibits other odd behavior, it may be infected.
Please take a few minutes to make sure your anti-virus software is up to date and enabled.  It is also important that PCs have the latest operating system security updates for protection.

Email attachments and website links in email are two common ways to catch a virus.  Unless you are certain of their origin and are expecting them, do not open attachments or click on links in emails.

Contact the Help Desk (765-658-4294) for assistance or questions on completing the above suggestions.
